Eli and I have always wondered what was on the western side of Lake Wenatchee.
Typically we go to the park on the East side, take in the views and call it a day.
Last week we finally made our way up one of the mountain roads leading to a lesser known viewpoint.
The view was WAY better than we expected.
The hike out was super short and simple, and well worth it.
Odin had a blast climbing all the rocks – while Eli and I enjoyed some s’mores and French Press.
For this post we were able to team up with Stanley to do a coffee post. You can check out there Cook / Brew set here.
My favorite ways to prepare coffee is with a French Press. In a standard pour over, almost all the oils from the coffee are pulled out – Chemex filters out even more. But with French Press, all the oils stay in the brew adding a nice smooth flavor.
I usually don’t measure anything – and to be honest, the stronger the better.
Everyone likes their coffee a different way – what’s yours?
- Coarsely ground coffee
- Optional: Cream and sugar
- Fill the french press with as much water as you want coffee.
- Heat the water to a boil if your stove will allow it.
- Add about 1 tbsp ground coffee per 8oz of water that’s in the pot. Lightly
- Allow to sit for 1 minute
